On October 10, 2024, the Mayor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (MOBED) in partnership with Bank of Montreal (BMO) and Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), hosted the 2024 Sports and Entertainment Supplier Diversity Summit. The event was designed to foster economic growth for small businesses within the City of Los Angeles and beyond by connecting business owners and entrepreneurs with sports and entertainment partners.
The Lapreneur program provided streamlined entrepreneurship education and resources to aspiring and existing small business owners to give them the foundation they need to start, grow, and succeed. The inaugural cohort consisted of 119 members, of whom 99 completed the programming and qualified for graduation. Graduates participated in a ceremony where they were recognized for their dedication and efforts in expanding their knowledge to grow a business in the City of Los Angeles.
